Our Team

Shelby Pace, LPC

My name is Shelby Pace and I earned my masters degree from William Carey University in 2016. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Mississippi and a Blue Cross Blue Shield network provider. I am also in network with United Healthcare and AETNA.

I understand the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative effort between myself and the client. My goal is to welcome clients as they are and allow them to grow in their own time. I aim to help clients amplify their voices and experiences as they walk through the journey of healing.

My practice focuses on individuals, including adolescents and couples. I have experience working with these individuals and couples through issues such as depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, life transitions, addiction, and high-risk adolescents. I enjoy helping couples work through conflict resolution and communication issues.

I am a Hattiesburg native but now call Brandon my home. I love living here and serving the area as a therapist. I enjoy traveling with friends and family, hosting events at my home, and good cup of iced coffee to start my day. I look forward to creating a safe haven with you as you walk through your journey of healing.

Laurel Kett, LMFT

My name is Laurel Kett. I graduated from William Carey University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2011. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Mississippi. I am in network with BCBS, United Healthcare, AETNA and Fox Everett. I am trained in EMDR.

I believe in meeting clients where they are and I utilize a systemic approach to gain understanding of their story. My goals are to help clients of any race, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation feel safe, welcomed, and heard as they navigate the trials of life. I have truly seen the opportunities for growth and change and consider it a privilege to sit and share this season of life with my clients.

I have over a decade of experience working with adolescents and their families through alcohol and drug issues, as well as the juvenile justice system. I continue to work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families through issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, family conflict, anger management, life transitions, and communication.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time indoors, and playing games or watching Disney movies with my daughter.
